Position Summary:
Jerry Pugh, the largest franchisee of Workout Anytime, has led a buyout of the franchisor and takes 
on the Chief Executive Officer role as part of this transformative transaction.
Workout Anytime is now entering a new chapter of aggressive growth and operational excellence, 
focused on expanding from 200 to 500+ locations in the next five years.
As the Vice President of Franchise Development, you will spearhead this national growth by driving 
strategic franchise sales initiatives and leading the franchise development lifecycle—lead 
generation, candidate qualification, discovery process, and final agreement execution. You’ll 
collaborate cross-functionally and represent the brand’s mission to prospective franchisees, 
ensuring only the best operators join our network.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive franchise development plan that aligns 
with aggressive growth targets.
•  Lead Generation & Management: Leverage digital marketing, broker networks, expos, direct 
outreach, and referrals to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
•  Sales Pipeline Oversight: Manage the entire process from inquiry to signed franchise agreement, 
providing data-driven updates to the executive team using CRM tools.
•  Franchisee Recruitment: Identify, qualify, and secure top-tier franchise partners aligned with 
our Ideal Franchisee Profile (strong financial capacity, operational discipline, and passion for 
fitness).
•  Cross-Functional Integration: Work closely with Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Real Estate 
teams to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term success of new franchisees.
•  Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performance franchise development team, fostering a 
culture of accountability and franchisee-first thinking.
•  Market & Territory Planning: Analyze demographic data to identify prime growth markets and 
execute smart territory development strategies.
•  Budget & Compliance: Manage the franchise development budget effectively, ensuring all 
activities are fully compliant with FTC and state-specific franchise laws.
•  Onboarding Ramp-Up: Execute a 30-60-90 day onboarding plan to quickly integrate, drive results, 
and close initial deals.

Qualifications:
•  10+ years of franchise development experience, ideally in multi-unit retail, fitness, or 
wellness.
•  Proven track record of driving franchise sales and territory growth.
•  Deep knowledge of franchise sales processes, FDD compliance, and development best 
practices.
•  Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
•  Experience with franchise brokers, consultants, and development partners.
•  Entrepreneurial mindset and exceptional organizational skills.
•  Willingness to travel for discovery days, expos, and market visits.

Preferred Qualifications:
•  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
•  Experience scaling a national brand with 100+ units.
•  Understanding of fitness trends and consumer behavior.
•  Proficiency with franchise CRM platforms (e.g., FranConnect).

Compensation & Benefits:

•  Competitive executive compensation with performance-based incentives. Salary range inclusive of base, commissions and bonuses.

Compensation: $225,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
